Financial Aid
The Phoenix Institute Europe Foundation annually provides a very
limited amount of scholarships to carefully selected students attending
our Vienna program (if you are planning to attend the Notre Dame
program, click
here). The following requirements need to be met to
be eligible to apply for a scholarship:
- the applicant is enrolled full-time as a university student;
- the applicant has been approved by the Assessment Committee;
- the applicant has submitted sufficient written proof of the inability
to pay the full tuition fee;
- the applicant is able to pay at least 25% of the tuition fee
with personal funds (100% scholarships are not granted);
- Scholarships for travel expenses are not granted;
- the applicant must submit a detailed personal report before the
end of the Summer Seminar attended with the scholarship.
Students applying for a scholarship should realize that the Phoenix
Institute is fully dependant on its benefactors and therefore cannot
guarantee that a scholarship will be granted. Applicants must furthermore
be aware that news about the grant of a scholarship might be received
as late as one week prior to the start of the Summer Seminar The
lower the amount of the scholarship requested, the greater the chance
that an applicant will be awarded a scholarship.
We therefore strongly advise our students to apply
for financial aid elsewhere, through family, friends, university
or diverse (business) scholarships in their home country or through
international foundations. A non-exhaustive list of such foundations
can be downloaded
here. Throughout the years, our students have
successfully set up financial aid structures in their own countries
or regions.
